What to expect with

Thank you for choosing me as your fertility specialist. As an experienced fertility specialist and reproductive surgeon, I pride myself on providing comprehensive and personalised fertility care from start to finish.
Your first consultation
Unlike many other fertility specialists who only offer appointments months away, I endeavour to accommodate all my new patients with their first appointment within four weeks because I understand the stress and anxiety that often comes with the fertility journey.
Where possible, I recommend both partners attend for this first appointment, as fertility barriers can lie on both sides, and it’s not always obvious. This joint appointment^ allows me to form a more comprehensive picture of your situation.
At your first consultation with me, we will have a discussion and review of your medical history and overall health, and your fertility journey so far. The goal is to identify and address any fertility barriers that may exist. I always provide ample time to ask any questions that have been weighing on your mind, so feel free to voice your concerns at any time.
I will organise some basic fertility tests, including:
Hormone tests
Blood tests
Sperm analysis
Tests and imaging of the female reproductive organs, such as the uterus and fallopian tubes
Depending on my initial assessment of your reproductive health, I may also organise some additional tests to better understand the factors influencing your fertility.

Your follow-up consultation
At your following appointment, we will discuss your test results and what my recommendations are for you. This management plan will be formulated in collaboration with you and your partner, taking into account your goals and values as a couple.
Based on your test results, priorities, and your personal preferences, I may recommend one or more of the following treatments:
IVF or an alternative assisted reproductive technology
Ovulation tracking and/or induction
Surgical treatment for the underlying cause of fertility challenges*
Further testing to investigate an abnormal result
*I perform all my own surgical procedures for my patients and you will not need to be referred to a separate specialist
Very rarely is there only one option for management. So, I will present you with all your options and discuss the pros and cons of each. Together, we will find the right treatment path for you.
